Rielle Hunter - Women Behaving Badly

Well, just when you thought it was safe, here we go again with the sordid soap opera called the former Sen. and Presidential Candidate John Edwards (D-SC) and his paramour, Rielle Hunter. Apparently, Ms. Hunter wishes to continue her 15 minutes of fame (and fame whore) with a "she speaks out" essay in the April Edition of GQ Magazine. It was previewed and splashed all over the entertainment and news media the past 24 hours with the cover of GQ of Ms. Hunter posing with her legs apart, the tie of her pants undone, bare midsection, holding her daughter. Inside, Ms. Hunter is posed with nothing but a button down men's shirt, no pants, posed among stuffed animals.

The article goes forth with Hunter's version of the Edwards marriage and that "she's not a home wrecker", "she's not a gold digger", "the marriage was toxic", "she and John will love each other forever" and "every one's afraid of Elizabeth's wrath". Well, honey, let's put the shoe on the other foot. If you were married and discovered that your husband was having an affair, got his paramour pregnant, how would you feel? Oh, yes, Johnny probably told you "my wife doesn't understand me".....blah, blah, blah!

Yes, Rielle Hunter has her right to voice her side, but to air your dirty linen and attempt to smear a wife of 33 years who is suffering from terminal cancer, and running after a married man, leaping into the feathers with him, not using any birth control protection, getting knocked up, and oh, you're the saint? I don't think so.

Even though I do not agree with her politics, my heart goes out to Elizabeth Edwards and her children. Matter of fact, my heart goes out to any wife that has been wronged by a cheating husband.
